Spring Bible Class

Heads, Ribs, Helpmeets, and Being in Christ

Wednesdays, April 17 & 24 at 6:30 pm in Parish Hall.

Chances are, you’ve encountered a scripture passage that had you wondering, “Is the Bible sexist?” Rev. Hinkley will teach a two-part series based on her master’s thesis dealing with passages in Genesis and Paul.

Come learn a little Hebrew and Greek, excavate the word of God, and breathe a sigh of relief! Far from being misogynistic, these texts will help us encounter not only a call to equality and mutuality, but a new angle into the person and work of Christ and the richness of the Good News. You may even notice a few connections to the Lent Series and the Fall Theology Class!

You’re encouraged to read Genesis 1-3 before the first class. Dinner will be served at 6:30 and the study will begin at 7. Contact ceh@mapc.com.
