The Saint Andrew Chorale and Orchestra will open their 58th season with César Franck’s Psalm 150, in honor of the 200th anniversary of the composer’s birth, and a performance of Duruflé’s poignant Requiem, joined by choristers from the New York City Children’s Chorus for a performance with chamber orchestra. MAPC’s Director of Music will be featured in Poulenc’s effervescent Concerto for Organ, Strings & Timpani.

Five ensembles from MAPC’s New York City Children’s Chorus program – totaling over 150 choristers – will sing praises of what we hold dear: music, family, love, nature, country, and God. Art songs by Schubert, Handel, and Copland will be juxtaposed with modern works by Andrea Ramsey, Rollo Dilworth, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The proceeds from the concert will benefit the NYCCC Tuition Aid Fund.

Tickets for this concert will be made available in April.

An organ recital performed by students of John Weaver, featuring organists Chelsea Chen, David Enlow, Andrew Henderson and Alan Morrison. Dr. John Weaver served Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church as Director of Music & Organist from 1970 to 2005, and as Director of Music Emeritus from his retirement until his death in February 2021. The program will feature favorite organ works by J. S. Bach, Franck, Messiaen, Mulet, Sowerby, Widor and John Weaver.
