January Sunday Morning Adult Education - What Does It Mean

What does it mean to be a Christian? A variety of answers abound, answers that often conflict with one another. Some emphasize beliefs and convictions. Some highlight personal morality. Some underscore social justice, and some focus on a personal experience of salvation. In his book, Diversity in Faith, Unity in Christ, Dr. Shirley Guthrie describes these four approaches to Christianity and then explores how being a Christian focuses on the suffering love and liberating power of the God we know in Jesus.

Adult education will meet online Sunday, February 6 at 9 am for week 5 of our discussion, which will focus on chapter 7.

Since Guthrie’s book is out of print and not easily available on Amazon, we have ordered 20 copies. They are $13 each. They will be available for pick up at the church reception office during business hours.
