Racial Justice Task Force Movie Night

Friday, March 15 at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall

The next Racial Justice Task Force Movie Night is Friday March 15th. We will gather at 6:30 for a casual meal and screen the first episode of Ava DuVernay’s When They See Us, her documentary on the Central Park Five, the teenagers who were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for 13 years for the brutal attack on a woman in Central Park. The subject matter will be remembered by some, but remains as relevant today as when it happened and for the years between then and now. One of the gifts of Movie Night at MAPC is that we have the opportunity to view movies that are difficult to watch or assimilate, and then be able to talk together about what we’ve seen and what it might inspire in us. Please use the link below to sign up so we have an idea of how much food to order. Your presence matters, come join in!
