Discipleship Lunch

We will welcome Elsia Vasquez, Founding Director of PA'LANTE, a grassroots Harlem-based tenant organizing and advocacy group. Their mission is to reduce poverty and advocate for safe housing by organizing, educating, and empowering residents. They support communities to preserve and improve quality of life by assisting tenants whose rights have been violated, and by holding unresponsive property owners accountable. In the fall of 2024, Session approved a motion from the Racial Justice Task Force to provide an initial grant to PA'LANTE in the hopes of seeding a relationship between MAPC and the organization. Come join in for lunch, meet Elsia and learn more about PA'LANTE's work!
