Confirmation

7th Grade+, Sunday afternoons (12 - 1:45 pm), lunch provided

In confirmation classes, we discuss what it means to be a person of faith. Participants learn more about Jesus' life and how it impacts our lives today. Topics include: The Trinity, the Sacraments, Other Religions, Music & Worship, Grace & Gratitude, Stewardship and more. During classes we wrestle with questions such as: What does God want for us? How can my life make a difference? How do faith and science relate to one another? For the final project, each student creates their own personal statement of faith. The Pastoral Staff take turns leading this class.

Confirmation will resume during the 2024-2025 school year.

"I had the great pleasure of working with one of the youth from Madison Avenue.  She helped me with technological problems with poise and patience. She is a bright addition to the student volunteer group (called MAPC Serves) at the James Lenox House.  Teenagers come for an hour once a month to answer tech questions from us, the residents of the James Lenox House.  It is such a gift."
