Our 58th Season continues Sunday, February 26 at 3 pm!

Phil Goldenberg, classical guitar

The next concert of the Saint Andrew Music Society’s 58th Season is on Sunday, February 26 at 3 pm featuring Phil Goldenberg, who has established himself as one of his generation’s leading classical guitarists.

Through his expressive and sensitive playing he has moved audiences in concert halls and festivals around the world. His program explores the intersection different musical genres including jazz, Turkish folk, rock and tango; all wrapped up with modern classical sensibilities. The program’s major works are the jazz inspired Trilogy by New York-based composer Frederic Hand, the funky and exciting French masterwork Libra Sonatine by Roland Dyens, and the free-spirited improvisatory Turkish work Koyunbaba by Carlo Domeniconi. Also included on the program are the intricate and expressive arrangements of the American folk melody The Water Is Wide by Frederic Hand, and When You Wish Upon a Star by Joe Pass.
