The Saint Andrew Music Society (SAMS) was founded by Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in 1965 to provide a setting for outstanding concerts in the favorable acoustics and warm atmosphere of our beautiful sanctuary.
We invite you to attend our Music on Madison series on Sunday afternoons from October through May featuring performances by guest artists and ensembles. Our resident choral society, the Saint Andrew Chorale, presents major concerts with the professional Saint Andrew Orchestras and guest instrumentalists, performing great sacred choral works throughout the season.
The Saint Andrew Music Society relies on the contributions of our "Friends of the Saint Andrew Music Society." Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law, and donors are acknowledged in the major concert programs throughout the season.
Admission to most Music on Madison concerts is by suggested donation at the door. Tickets for the concerts sung by the Saint Andrew Chorale and Professional Choir of MAPC may be purchased in advance or at the door. Purchasing tickets in advance through a SAMS Choral Subscription offers a 25% savings off full admission. Individual tickets for the Saint Andrew Chorale’s performance of Handel’s Israel in Egypt on May 21, may also be purchased online using a credit card.
